Mud, glorious mud. In the salt marshes of Camargue, a spectacular herd of all-white horses have roamed free across the flats for hundreds of years. Brown or black as colts, they transform into their trademark hue around their fourth year. Inhabitants of a harsh, wild Mediterranean setting of wetlands, lakes and marshes, the Camargue horses are as strong as they are beautiful.
